International Critical Commentary Holy Scriptures OTNT. New Testament, CEC, ed. by Briggs, Driver, Plummer,

The International Critical Commentary on the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments.
Edited by C.A.Briggs, S.R.Driver, A.Plummer. and many 19th century scholars of America and
Europe. Here is the entire set of the ICC Critical and Exegetical Commentary New Testament
series. Unable to find free full copy of Bernard's Gospel of St.John I have selected Westcott's
2 vols. Commentary on John's Gospel on the Greek Text with English Translation, this being an
equal and adequate substitute, I have combined the two volumes into one. I have also added as
an extra part to Stevens and Burton's Harmony of the Gospels the excellent Synopsis of the
Gospels of the Greek Text. Turner's Acts of the Apostles also could not be found and is here
replaced with a better work of Hackett revised and enlarged edition. Charles' 2 vols. on
Revelation is here also combined into one. Thus these 19 are 22 volumes total. The Old
Testament series is about ready to submit soon. mjm, 2010.

International Critical Commentary on the Holy Scriptures of the OTNT. New Testaments
The ICC in both series, OT and NT, was intended to be a scholarly work on the original language of Hebrew and Greek. The work was doomed from the beginning, since the scholarship became to diverse and unequalled. The work continues to evolve as the NewICC, and some volumes replaced and improved. Meyer's work on the NT and Keil-Delitzsch on the OT and Lange-Schaff are still a better deal. This said, some volumes in these sets are excellent.mjm.
